Anne H. Kim is the founding editor of Audrey Magazine, a glossy national women’s lifestyle publication created just for Asian American women. Launched in 2002, Audrey Magazine has since won awards and has even become part of the curriculum at major universities across the country. Her life before that consisted of breaking news at a couple of local newspapers in California and earning a California Newspaper Publishers award nomination. Over the course of her 14-year editing and writing career, she accompanied cops on the night beat to report on mass Y2K destruction at the turn of the millennium in Silicon Valley (no such destruction), sat in the cockpit of a simulated F-18 fighter jet and miraculously didn’t get sick even after performing a “corkscrew” move, and once met Presidential hopeful Al Gore in a coffee shop.
